The Brief
In 1998 Kemper Mutual Funds, now owned by Zurich hired Solvtech for our web software skills to develop a web based interface for their retirement account system.
Their old mainframe application had become cumbersome to enhance. By creating a web based interface to the DB2 database we were able to bring new life to the workhorse application.
Benefits:
- Reduced customer service costs by allowing plan managers to perform basic tasks without calling customer service center.
- Improved customer service by enhancing functionality to the mainframe based system.
- Reduced software development cost by using client server technology.
